Ad hoc greenhouse

I made this simple cold frame out of cinder blocks and old window frames for hardening off my seedlings. It's on a concrete slab and it worked perfectly!

Update on sprouts, tulips

This is what the tulips looked like when I pulled them out of the garage in April:

17 raised beds in place

So we now have a total of 17 raised beds in place and leveled. Already planted: strawberries, asparagus, peas, broccoli, brussels sprouts, spinach, garlic, onions, and shallots! Next: order garden mix soil (enhanced with sheep manure) and fill the remaining beds by planting time. Also, smooth out the surrounding area and cover with shredded bark mulch. We are planning to tear down the green shed and rebuild it into a combined shed/greenhouse/chicken coop- perhaps this summer... or not.
